Yes! And the longer list of reasons for higher prices is more complicated and varied, but often it’s about transmission and distribution. (With folks like @jigarshahdc.bsky.social and friends asking really great questions lately about whether all that T&D upgrading is necessary.)

Here's the average carbon intensity for the US over the past 12 months. There aren't too many clear correlations, but these stand out:
1. Missouri, what the heck is up with you?
2. Renewables in CA and TX aren't causing price increases.
3. TVA seems unbothered.

The pics of Ronaldo and Trump were all over some mainstream soccer accounts today, and it was nauseating. Thank goodness we stan Messi in this household. (To be fair, Ronaldo was the first big star to play in Saudi Arabia, so that connection is unsurprising.)
