Data-driven decarbonization at @electricitymaps.com
Almost certainly that guy you know from the internet.
There are 20 data centers between my house and the grocery store.
Posting through it since Prodigy and Procomm Plus.
Left of the dial.
I have seen all the Star Wars, but I have never seen:

- Space Jam
- Dumb and Dumber
- Anchorman

Here's the average carbon intensity for the US over the past 12 months. There aren't too many clear correlations, but these stand out:
1. Missouri, what the heck is up with you?
2. Renewables in CA and TX aren't causing price increases.
3. TVA seems unbothered.

Reacting to your post about the Outer Banks? That's commenting for beach.

Discussing the best stone fruit available in July? That's commenting for peach.

Posting about how the bloodletting of George Washington contributed to his death? Commenting for leech.

DONALD TRUMP FIVE MINUTES AFTER MEETING ME: Actually, Emperor Tomato Ketchup is superior to Dots and Loops, which is really more of a John McEntire collaboration, and he is a genius, but it’s not really the same Stereolab after that, is it? It’s not the same.
DONALD TRUMP FOVE MINUTES AFTER MEETING ME: There's this character, they're called heroes in the game, can you believe that? Not characters but heroes. I like that. Anyways there's this hero, H-E-R-O, named Kiriko and they're saying she's unfair. She's got a cleanse, can you believe that? Unbelie...
DONALD TRUMP FIVE MINUTES AFTER MEETING ME: You know they're saying Sylvester McCoy is an underrated Doctor, and you know, maybe there's something in it. A lot of great stories in those last years. A lot of great stories. Year four of the Cartmel years would have been something special, folks.

It's a sign of growth and maturity if I don't immediately subskeet about a thing I find ridiculous and unscientific, right?

Oh, is this the subskeet?

Hmm.

Apparently an extra cup or two of green tea and a King Tubby playlist is all it takes for a super productive afternoon? Surely there will be no consequences to this approach.

If it’s not from the Parma region of Italy, it’s just sparkling cheese.
United Talent Agency has signed literal type of cheese Parmigiano Reggiano to its roster with the goal of finding product-placement opportunities for the brand in film and TV

Read the whole thread for a view from the front lines of how GenAI chatbots have democratized and accelerated the development of (and access to) conspiracy theories. Birds of a feather no longer necessary.
Bellingcat’s contact email has always been a magnet for people with fairly unusual views; paranoid delusions, sprawling conspiracies, the works. But recently, the pattern has shifted, we’re seeing more and more emails clearly written with ChatGPT.

“In short, a latent bug in a service underpinning our bot mitigation capability started to crash after a routine configuration change we made." -- Cloudflare root cause, and honestly, a) who among us, and b) Their teams are going to get a lot of questions about deployment processes and systems QA.

I can’t remember if I’ve posted anything about this before or just drafted in my head 99 times, but shoutout to fellow families of severe traumatic brain injury victims who have to walk around getting triggered by [checks notes] the Secretary of Health and Human Services and a sitting Senator.

Winning against a WC qualified CONMEBOL team with a bunch of supposed starters out and guys like Roldan in the lineup is better than losing to them, I’ll give Poch that!

Treated myself to a Limón Pepino Gatorade after not fainting when I went to the *good* bloodwork spot for some labs, and let me tell you, this flavor hits much harder in the dead of summer after a long day of watching children play soccer, but I stand by my decisions.
