I want to be totally upfront with you all. 💛 Because we didn’t receive inventory in time for our holiday sale, sales were much lower than expected during a period we normally rely on to carry us through January and February. As a result, we’ve made the difficult decision to begin releasing preorder leftovers on a rolling, slightly disorganized schedule, rather than waiting to launch everything together in February. We simply won’t be able to make it that long. Over the next few days, please keep an eye on my social channels or check the website. You can also sign up for restock notifications to get updates as things become available. A few important clarifications: Leftovers will only be launched for designs that have fully completed shipping. If your preorder hasn’t shipped yet, leftovers for that design are not launching. The UK store is not affected and will still launch in February as originally planned. And lastly — thank you so much for your patience, and truly, for being here. I know this is a lot of communication at once, and I really appreciate your understanding as we navigate a tough stretch. 💛

A neighbor was taken to a care facility, and her little tortoiseshell kitty was left behind. I can't take her in but I've been feeding her and giving her water every day. No one in the neighbor's family can take her in. Is there anyone in the Inland Empire area that could foster or adopt her?

recently my friend's comics professor told her that it's acceptable to use gen AI for script-writing but not for art, since a machine can't generate meaningful artistic work. meanwhile, my sister's screenwriting professor said that they can use gen AI for concept art and visualization, but that it won't be able to generate a script that's any good. and at my job, it seems like each department says that AI can be useful in every field except the one that they know best. It's only ever the jobs we're unfamiliar with that we assume can be replaced with automation. The more attuned we are with certain processes, crafts, and occupations, the more we realize that gen AI will never be able to provide a suitable replacement. The case for its existence relies on our ignorance of the work and skill required to do everything we don't.

For further context twitter added a button that allows users to generate ai images using existing art posts from artists. It removes glaze and it basically reskins the artwork by using the existing work as a base. Twitter is no longer a safe space for art
