#79 - Vivarium (2019)

Random Halloween pick; roommate and I took a gamble.

I really enjoyed it! Flawed in plenty of places, some loose threads never resolved, and an ending that’s honestly a little TOO bleak, but great sound design, a creepy premise, and an on-its-sleeve metaphor make it very fun.

Undirected kidney donation itself is a cool thing to do, and it also has tremendous positive consequences -- there are whole chains of pairs of unmatched donors/recipients, and any random unpaired donation can click everything over and get four, five, six people a new kidney at once

This is a very oversimplified way of looking at it and likely wrong in several ways, but because I’m aiming to lose weight and gain weight at the same time, I kinda gave myself an excuse to just exercise and not worry about diet at all which is what I’ve wanted to do this whole time anyway lmfao

For now it’s just 45-50 minutes on the treadmill at an average speedwalking pace with about 5 minutes of actual running but that’s the baseline I’m the most capable of for now
