Backups are always important. A 1TB Samsung 970 EVO NVME SSD drive from 2018 is giving me media errors despite only 1% of its spare usage being used. It's only 50% full and has had 21TB written over its lifetime. I'm replacing it with a 9100 Pro since this drive gets a lot of use for builds.

Had our after discussion of this year's Pawcon. Everything went really well this year, though, as always, we identified areas for improvement. We take attendee comments seriously. We had zero incidents on the party floor, and everyone was well-behaved. I think people will be pleased next year.

I'm at Pawcon. Things are looking great for starting on time tomorrow. Reg is set up, dealers are setting up, headless lounge is just about ready, etc. So far, things are going really smoothly (knock on wood). I think it will be a good year.

So it looks like I'm now between projects at this time, with no fixed projects to work on. It looks like I may work on some of the experimental side, but it also looks like I suddenly have free time (and getting paid for it). I just hope it's not a bad sign. Fortunately, I've built up my savings.
