Almost the New Year. I would like to hope it brings positive change, but that will require work. Not sure the Nation is ready for it, but I need to tend my own garden first, so that is what I will concentrate on to start.

I’ve been thinking about the story of Fafnir. Fafnir was so greedy and hoarded so much gold he turned into a dragon. He was later slain by Sigurd, but all his gold was cursed and all who sought it fell to ruin. Seems an important lesson about greed for and hoarding of wealth to me.

This os why, however much I need a job, I don’t try for anything related to building more data centers.
OpenAI employees are very excited about how well their new AI tool can create fake videos of people doing crimes and have definitely thought through all the implications of this
