It’s not authentic but this is still the best poutine I’ve ever had.

It is poutine from an Irish pub. They put a gravy on it made with Guinness and cheese whiz and my friends told me I shouldn’t share this with my Canadian friends but here it is.

I find it kind of wild that when people talk to beginner writers about setting achievable goals they always focus on length like that is the difficult thing. But like.... how many of us wrote a million words in grade 10? LENGTH is not the thing that makes a project ambitious.

I don't think we say this enough, but never feel bad for creating something you love. Write or draw that self indulgent thing, have fun with it, enjoy it. Always write and draw for yourself first, and you'll find your people who will love it as much as you do.
But whatever you do, have fun with it.

Another Gaster therapy page, this one with slightly larger border graphics. I find that I enjoy shading them with graphite to relax. Marker or a bit of watercolor, too.

I'd have toned back the sign of the eye, but my printer tends not to pick up on it otherwise.

I didn’t notice much toxicity until lately. It started when the new guidelines censored artists without providing any meaningful safeguards or engaging with the feedback people offered. From there, it’s spread upward. The ops team itself has begun mocking and dismissing the community entirely.

It can be incredibly hard to see your progress when recovering from depression or burnout. The whole world keeps demanding certain benchmarks of you to the point that it’s easy to feel like a failure despite your hard work. Remember your progress is your own journey. Every win means something.
