Seriously, fuck Starmer and his hideous, ghoulish cabinet. From this grim decision to Streeting's anti-trans shit, they're just full of spite for vulnerable people. I truly hope they get wiped out at the next election and that the UK gets a proper progressive party in power(sharing?).
This contribution to the volume of human misery is yet another policy from Labour based on a false premise, in this case that refugees are overly attracted to Britain. It will increase bureaucratic limbo, thus making worse the problem of "cohesion" it purports to solve.

UK set to limit refugees to temporary stays
Shabana Mahmood is expected to say the era of permanent protection for refugees is over, in major changes to the UK's asylum and immigration system.

I'll say it again. Our horror at the Gaza genocide and at the atrocity in Manchester comes in both cases from the same, inherent part of our shared humanity. We need to assert that shared humanity in the face of both these evils as loudly as possible, and in as many practical ways as we can.
NEW: Home secretary Shabana Mahmood urges pro-Palestine protesters to consider not taking part in marches this weekend.

"Imagine if you lost a loved one to a terror attack in this country ... sometimes a little unity, a little solidarity, some love to other people is required"

I don't really like promoting my own work much on social media, feels strange. But if anyone's interested in Labour's approach to integration (which has not changed in a generation), I would suggest my first book. www.bloomsbury.com/uk/construct...

I just want to take some time this morning to explain why, if you're a socialist, you are obliged to support trans rights, gay rights, immigrants rights and so on.

What distinguishes a socialist from a liberal philosophical is that we are universalists. We believe in a universal human dignity.

Affirming and amplifying disingenuous white grievance politics at a time of insurgent fascism is a form of collaboration. Irrespective of conscious intent. And irrespective of whether its the centre or left doing it.
Worrying about 'anti white racism' during a very racist time is quite unhinged..esp for the co-founder of a supposedly leftist outlet.
