New Video!
Video Game Sequel Switch Ups!

Not every sequel is made equally. Some are completely different, sometimes for the better other times... whatever Digimon World 4 was doing.

Check out the video, please enjoy, please bring back Phantasy Star Online Episode 3?

Star Force's Legacy Collection was recently announced and confirmed with an official trailer, so that really will just leave Legends as the last one standing

I made a trading card for @sonicconuk.com. Come grab one if you see me! (The print order should arrive in time...) Also, I guess I finally have a Sonic OC. It only took me 32 years!

Today I'm playing Urban Reign! An underloved, tough as nails PS2 beat-em-up which beat-me-down, over and over again. And it's amazing. Join Brad Hawk on the hardest 100 fights of his life to save a city he doesn't seem all that invested in.

Reposts appreciated, hope you enjoy! youtu.be/cBEuaOYPYwA

It should be strictly forbidden for game guide writers to ever write "this part is easy". My dude, there is literally only one reason I am reading this and it's because I couldn't do it so much I had to look it up. It was categorically not easy.

💀 New video! 💀
I made a video about Little Big Adventure (AKA Relentless). A fantastic #DOSgaming Adventure from 1994. The sweetest aesthetic twinned with an incredibly grim dark setting. A really great mix!

Sega definitely copied their own homework.

Oh! Oh that works quite well!

Despite primarily playing on PlayStation, I would be sad if Xbox left the console market.
1. Competition is good for consumers.
2. Xbox makes some very ergonomic pads with cool special edition colourways.
3. I still have fond memories of Halo.

This might sound dumb, but I still get Marine the Racoon and Sticks the Badger mixed up. Is that just me, or does anyone else confuse the two?

I'm about 6 hours into Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter and I wish I had more time to play it outside of work, parenting, etc. Beautiful anime aesthetic? Check! Fun turn-based battle system? Check! Loads of side quests and ways to level up your characters and gear? Check! It feels tailor-made for me.

Mega Man Legends is a beautiful (and very fun) game that more people need to play.

Come on, Capcom. Give us a Legends Legacy Collection of MML1, Misadventures of Tron Bonne and MML2! (Including the first ever official localisation of MoTB's MML2 prelude chapter.)

When will graphics get better than this

When devs couldn't just chuck more polygons on screen, their only option for making a game look good and stand out was to develop a strong aesthetic. The result is games like Legends here, which stand the test of time. It doesn't look like a technical limitation, it looks like an intentional choice.

I swear, if they move to a subscription model...

Sony sweet talked me with technology for the PlayStation 5 generation, but the game library has been underwhelming. The tech's useless if there's not much to play on it.

And those connections are still peer-to-peer too. Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo aren't usually offering dedicated servers unless it's a first-party game like Mario Kart.

I'm conflicted about Yooka-Replaylee. I backed the Kickstarter 10 years ago and gave it a fairly positive review. A do-over adding new content and fixing issues sounds good, until I remember many of the people who worked on this remaster were brutally laid off. I don't want to support that practice.

Picked up the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection in the current PSN sale.

My introduction to Mega Man was via the Legends games, not the platformers, so I definitely welcome more Mega Man RPGs in my life.

(Also, if I like these, I can grab Star Force as an encore.)

You know what I think we should all do? Just start reply to stuff with positive comments.

Dickheads are so quick to comment, how about we tell people they look good? Their art is cool? The event sounds excellent. Whatever. Fucking hell, let’s just be openly nice for once.

Thanks for confirming. It's frustrating, but not surprising given Bethesda's track record for "physical" releases.

As long as AI requires a clearly defined brief and high-quality reference material, I think we'll be fine. 😉
