This is the type of local news that Minnesotan's are seeing during Thanksgiving weekend while the President slings slurs at our Governor and threatens our immigrant populations.

The Chemical Weapons Convention and the Geneva Convention both contain exceptions for “domestic law enforcement purposes.”

Worth watching this whole clip. Indistinguishable from Nazi leaders talking about Jews in the 1930s.
TRUMP: If you look at Somalia, they are taking over Minnesota.

REPORTER: What do the Somalians have to do with this Afghan guy who shot the National Guard members?

TRUMP: Ah, nothing. But Somalians have caused a lot of trouble. They're ripping us off.

Finally MPR does a piece on the roving Somali gangs ripping Minnesota apart... wayment. This is actually super wholesome. Guys, wait. Wait. Is Trump full of shit? 🧠🫠

Average American Thanksgiving: President declares total ban on immigration, calls an esteemed democratic governor a slur, and then goes on TV to talk about Somalis like animals when asked about a mass shooting by a former child soldier and member of a CIA associated death squad.
Trump: “I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries … denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization.“

This rhetoric is indistinguishable from the stuff you hear coming out of white nationalists. Completely identical language.

Everyone in politics, everyone in media knows what’s happening here: the White House is controlled by a repellant white supremacist who waits with bated breath for any opportunity to run nonwhite people out of America. They know who it is, what he’s doing. But they won’t SAY it.

President Trump's ongoing attempts to use the military for law enforcement endangers public safety and our rights.

Tell your Senator to co-sponsor a bill that will limit domestic military deployments and enhance oversight.
Congress: U.S. Troops are Not the President's Personal Police Force
Military troops do not belong on our streets and should never be used to police civilians. The Senate must protect our freedoms and pass the Military in Law Enforcement Accountability Act now.

The shooting of two Guardsmen in DC is a tragedy.

It is also EXACTLY what Trump wanted and was waiting for.

No POTUS has ever so premeditated getting our troops shot at for the sake a personal ambition as brutal as it is demagogic, dictatorial, and illegal.

This is on (a) the shooter, (b) Trump.

National Guard troops don't sign up to be used as political pawns. They sign up to serve their country, not needlessly deploy to American cities to pick up garbage. These two soldiers should be alive right now and at home with their families for Thanksgiving. I'm furious.

Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are culpable for endangering the National Guard by putting them in harm’s way.

Donald Trump’s administration has put both the National Guard and everyday Americans at risk by forcing them to occupy our cities.

We hope that everyone involved is ok and makes a swift recovery.

More coverage on 11/25 ICE raid in an east St. Paul neighborhood. That's 2 raids in St. Paul within a week where tear gas was deployed. SPPD used gas and rubber bullets in a residential area, likely in defiance of their separation ordinance, where they are only allowed to ensure public safety.

Now we have the president calling a female New York Times reporter ugly because he's mad about a story she wrote.

On owners surrendering their animals, "...within the last two to three months, it's been absolutely out of control." It's not just medical care causing a strain, the price of pet food and housing instability are playing a role. Economic pressures are the driving force behind many of the surrenders.

An MPR News photojournalist was among those hit by the less-lethal munitions. He was taken from the scene by ambulance and released shortly after.

SPPD tactical units supported the operation. St. Paul has a separation ordinance, so Mayor Carter has some explaining to do.
Law enforcement, protesters clash as federal agents make arrests in St. Paul
Gov. Tim Walz said state officials were monitoring what he called a “chaotic” situation “and working to understand what unfolded. We received no heads up from federal authorities on this operation.”

Bad things happening on St. Paul’s east side today. Tear gas all over neighborhoods.

Please be aware that I’m hearing that MIRAC verified there was a legitimate criminal warrant being served, which means a way bigger federal criminal charge if you interfere. Be mindful and look out for each other.
