A nice mention of @sarasheridan.bsky.social's Fair Botanists in this post
The very tall Agave americana, known as the ‘American aloe’ or ‘century plant’, flowered for the first time in Scotland in Dr John Hope’s Botanic Garden on Leith Walk in 1767. We thank Amy Orner for her blog.#botanicgarden #drhope #aloeplant

Having Johnson & Cummings in Downing Street when Covid struck was, just like Brexit, an entirely avoidable disaster caused largely by utterly appalling journalism. And now exactly the same clowns, arses & bigots with bylines are rolling out the red carpet for Farage.

For #InternationalMensDay - a thread of amazing Allies. First, Sir Walter Scott who supported several female writers including Susan Ferrier who found the 'burden of authorship' heavy. Scott called her his 'sister shadow' & said she was a better writer than him. (she was!)/1

For #RobertLouisStevensonDay (I'm running late I grant you) I give you D E Stevenson, 2nd cousin of RLS whose father disapproved of her writing so she did so in the attic of their Edinburgh house. She sold 7 million copies of her 40 novels. Yes, more than RLS. Gaun Dorothy. Where are the Women tho?

Perennial story problem. But if Sherlock Holmes can do it, feeling this isn't going to be a problem for Mr Bond.
Is Amazon labouring under the impression that viewers think the James Bond franchise is one continuous, unbroken timeline, with now holes or inconsistencies rendered there-in?
