Hey, I'm Saz! I'm a tarot reader, sporadic streamer & video game enjoyer. My favorite genres of games to stream are horror, cozy, sandbox, MMOs, and occasionally I'll even participate in Roleplay (previously Atlas/GTA)!

If any of this sounds like it's your vibe, stop by sometime! twitch.tv/sazzivox
Golden sun rays coming from behind a small village settlement in the game Atlas. A dimply lit room with brick walls filled with plants, a piano, and a mixing station built in the game The Sims 4. A fantasy tavern built into a hill in the game Valheim. A gamer's pc set up in the game Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Shown is a desk with a computer, computer chair, microphone, On Air sign, a poster of dinosaur bones, and a fern plant in the foreground.

Because it needs to be said:

The Salvation Army does not exist to save you

The Salvation Army exists to convert you

And if they cannot convert you, they will not lift a finger to save you

Do not support those whose “charity“ comes with conditions
It’s dinner time for the police. Appears to be pizza from a Salvation Army van.

Broadview’s “free speech” curfew starts soon, at 6pm.
No real point to this thread. It's not feedback or any sort of negative pr about the system. This is more musings on my own state and relationship to the game.

I'm mostly dodging information for now. I can (hopefully) find out in December with fresh, unexpecting eyes that are eager to fafo.
I want to make cool things in all the games, but also, I'm very tired. Too tired to keep up with everyone who already has beta and are figuring out how to do all the cool "hacks". A decade ago? That would've been me. Now I'm old and want to yell at the clouds.
Don't get me wrong, I will absolutely be neck deep in it when it goes live. But I'm currently very...tepid? I think it's because I'm either oversaturated with building projects elsewhere atm, or not overly excited about having to collect pieces/spend gold I don't have due to lack of playing.
As a long time WoW player and building-in-video-games enthusiast, as well as someone who has dreamed of having "the sims" functionality in WoW, you'd think I'd be salivating over the new housing system that's coming.

Friend gave me a John O’Donohue book recently. It’s quite good.

“To Come Home To Yourself”
To Come Home To Yourself

May all that is unforgiven in you
Be released.

May your fears yield
Their deepest tranquilities.

May all that is unlived in you
Blossom into a future
Graced with love.

In the Scottish Highlands, chief amongst the forest spirits is the Uruisg, a half-human and half-goat being similar to a Faun. Generally nocturnal, the Uruisg avoids human contact.

Mind you, my mother haphazardly plopped one into a pot and kept it in a windowless offices *for years*. That thing thrived on neglect and florescent lights.
I need to stop bringing drama queen but "easy to care for" plants home, no matter how pretty. I've got a purple passion plant that's dying on me. Despite me transplanting it out of the soggy-ass soil it came in almost immediately, it still molded on me/has rot. Heart broken.

If you are cancelling streaming services it's worth noting that we are currently living in a golden age of thrift store DVDs. Lot's of people have liquidated their collections because of streaming or because of the switch to bluray...
Trying to decorate a very large cabin in Once Human! It'll be fiiiine.

A redheaded character wearing an eyepatch and a blinding white dress and floppy hat stands in front of a log cabin. Looks both sinister and magical.
After this past week or two, my mental health is at its lowest in a very long time. I'm to the point where I'm actually looking at trying to find a therapist again, but between the cost and the wait lists? No wonder I gave up two years ago.
The world is (constantly) on fire, so let's farm in a cartoon game for a while.

A screenshot from the game Palia. A "human" like figure with antlers sits in a tent. A large statue looms above them, chests filled with unknown treasures sits behind them, and a blue fox-like plushie is judging the person behind the camera.
I know some areas can't be choosey, but do your best to be mindful of where you put your money/donate your items. But yeah, second hand is always better than Big Corporate slop. You'll find slop in thrift stores now too (because donations), but you can also find gold that'll last you years to come.
Bonus points: Choose a second hand shop that put efforts back into the community instead of lining the pockets of a CEO, when possible.
Buy second hand when and where you can. Not only is it (usually) more cost effective and better for the environment, but most items that were made pre-2000's can and do still hold up.
Reminder that things are in fact worse quality for more money, that no, Elder Gen Z/millennials/gen x, you're not imagining it, nor should you accept it as "the way things are."

Shirts I've had 30 fucking yrs are still wearable, but a shirt I've had 2 months & worn MAYBE twice is already unraveling
