I was kinda nervous about giving this speech TBH. I don't usually get nervous about public speaking but going to a fancy Washington DC event and talking about fascism and why AI sucks felt like a lot honestly. I was so relieved people seemed to like it.

BY THE WAY

If you've updated to Windows 11 recently, you're probably on version 25H2.

There's a new setting in Settings: Privacy & Security.

Scroll aaaaaaaalll the way to the bottom and you'll see "Text and Image Generation."

TURN IT OFF.

Today, Paste Magazine shuttered all its non-music verticals, a choice I am both professionally and personally heartbroken about. Sadly, I am once again looking for a place that wants to let me write about Books and TV on the regular, so hit me up if that’s you or anyone you know.

Traditionally, spooky season goes through Christmas/solstice/the darkest time of year. So Halloween is really just the beginning, or maybe the middle, if you celebrate the begging of fall in August (/if you are me). Enjoy and carry on!
