Media thread I may just brodacast all the shit I'm consuming now for the craic I do it on my instgram anyways.

Last Exit to Brooklyn christ this movie was depressing as shit the book is heavily streamlined in this version and I need to re read it because I think it may be my next favorite.
NGL I feel like the Irish should have more of a presence in horror then we do because its kind of wild we helped modernize the Headless Horseman, Vampires and Halloween and people just don't pay attention to us.
NGL I joked about him trying to invade Wakanda being a Caligula going to war with the ocean moment and I feel like its more and more likely each day.
I kid you Not: Trump/Vance closed the biggest freeway in California to fire live ammunition across all the lanes to their private patriotism party.

This is happening right now. There must be hundreds of thousands stuck.

If your making content about the humanities/hard sciences and your passionate about them especially on sites like Tick Tock you should always source things just leave a j-store article in the description as content creators you have to realize you have more reach then scholars and wed like the help.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?
Its not just a bad opinion but a wrong one.
My friend why dont you listen to conservative critics like the critical drinker. I listen to conservative people talk about metal and fitness all the time because some of them do know their shit I'm not listing to someone who said a framed narrative was a spoiler.
While I do think you should not look to entertainment for historical fact while you don't need to be Bob Edgars. I get the impression the people who made Vikings at least opened a history book or two.

I'll listen to conservatives metal/fitness content creators who say anti woke shit or whatever buss word online but I draw the line at say someone like Joe Rogan because he is an actual fascist.
I think a lot of people have contradictory politics because we actually have to be conscious of ingrained shit. No one is ever a clear cut anything. Its why I naively think conservatives does not equal fascist.

One of my weirder takes is that I think a lot of people are more normal then we give them credit for. if they have contradictory opinions they're just dont think about shit like I have 70 year old aunts that would complain about Trump all day but give out if I was to tell them something is a slur.
As someone who likes hyper realistic graphics I really do feel the success of CE33 does prove that something having games like Red Dead II and TLOU II is possible its just the Byzantine nature of the industry.
To me recommending Tolkien because his world is so complex is funny because non fantasy readers read him. Its like saying I know this fucked up horror writer named Stephen King.
I always feel like I'm dead inside whenever someone recommends something like RF Kuang for nothing other then good worldbuilding but then I watch something deeply character focused like Frieren and I'm reminded why I love this shit.
One of the things I'm starting to notice when talking about your favorite writers for a dissertation is the feeling that no one is into them quite like you.
NGL I kind of feel this way about both HP Lovecraft and Yukio Mishima.
earthbound is one of those overplayed, overhyped and oversaturated classics that you play and realise it's actually underrated
Playing Earthbound for the first time ever in 2025 is fascinating, actually. You're just a kid and the world's gone mad. All the adults are useless at best or trying to kill you at worst. Everyone talks like a crazy person. Everything's too expensive. Your next door neighbor wants to be a dictator.
You know I'd say these goons should read Ozymandias but they are also busy defunding the huminites to do it.
Conservative-leaning tech investors are racing to build a new American colossus, and they want something much, much bigger than the Statue of Liberty. Meet the new monuments men of the tech right and their plans for statue-maxing:

America’s Tech Right Is Obsessed With Building Giant Statues
With proposals for a 450-foot statue of Prometheus on Alcatraz and a 650-foot George Washington, MAGA adherents are racing to build America’s largest statue.

As someone who thinks horror should be mean I kind of always joked that Treehouse of Horror being having the mean spiritedness of 90s Simpsons is kind of why they were able to pull off the spooky ascetic so well.
I also think some of it also ended with JKR going full mask off.
So we are really going to ignore every sci-fi book ever written and let the AI run the military cool I don't see how this could backfire in anyway.
NGL Id say its the Black Widow movie for all the campaigning about much to the MCU fans credit. It only for it to wind up as mid as it was must have been dishearting.
Like when Mr Mime drops trou and shits hes being disgusting.
You could probably teach a number of them to use the toilet tbh

BREAKING: Pokémon poop now!

In Japan, Pokémon Legends: Z-A mentions Pikachu pooping, but the game's English-language translation adjusts the dialogue to Pikachu experiencing "tummy troubles." Regardless, it's official: Pokémon poop. bit.ly/3WJjoUI
Id just love the ability to talk to people and not over think all the social cues I missed man.
