Um I guess I will #pitchyagame. Here goes!

"Rosie's Rampage". A 2.5D platformer based on keeping momentum. She's an autoworker with no legs who takes on her bosses after they turn the company into a military supply outfit.

Very much a work in progress.

"Wow these new consoles are so powerful, now we can do 4k 60 fps! 🤡"

Reaper apparently has a Linux Version. I use LMMS personally. As for gamedev, Godot is incredible.

I've gotten to the point, that if I were a MUCH better coder, I would be making a completely custom game engine. There is a lot that I want to automate and simplify that is way beyond my skills.

Thank you Godot for being user friendly for people like me.

Woah, thats... Kind of nuts. Also a very good lede, thank you!

Thank you! this is a good lede, I'll comment back if I can figure it out.

I tried that. I think the problem is that the editor's settings (the camera dropdown in the top left corner of the viewport) is overriding it.

I'm not sure there is a way to override the engine settings.

I do appreciate the suggestion though, its a good one.

Does anyone know if there is a way to force Front Orthagonal view in the editor's camera in godot via code?

I'm trying to make a level builder tool and am out of ideas to do it automatically when my plugin is active.

I'd just keep a company account for all of it personally. Make a personal account as a distinctly separate entity. But I wouldn't make an account per game. Would hinder follower growth unless you has some brand synergy plan.

Ideally, I will get a base shape for layout, export it as one combined mesh into blender, let my procedural decoration system handle the basic decoration in blender, then manually edit it. Reimport after lighting and baking.

Working on a Tile-like drawing plugin for 2.5d level layout using the CSGCombiner3D Node. One step closer to a level builder. Needs a material selector panel, and options of block depth.

I feel morally obligated to play Namor to stop the diver perma-meta

I've found, at least on Bsky, that just doing authentic update/tech posts gets a lot of traction. When I go into marketing mode, I actually lose followers. 😅

60 FPS is a design choice. Every single time.

If you live in rural America, there isn't much to do outside of your room anyways. The story of my life.

Humans were already really good at producing slop, there was no reason we had to outsource that to AI too.

Yeah, gonna have to disagree. Unreal engine is a hot mess when using the latest featuresets, true.

The chase towards realism is definitely the problem. I'd much rather have a stylized game. Realism as a principle is just the wrong approach to graphics imo.

I personally like when games get a little experimental to previous titles.

We just got the Silent Hill 2 remake and it was classic, now we get something new. Doesn't seem like that big a deal to experiment if they can keep the pace up.

I just do 12 hours of work in 5 hours with the power of ADHD hyperfocus, then stuggle to do any more the next day.

😬

Ironically, this account is going to be a bit quite for a few days while we do final demo voice acting.

Just got to say, The people who are working on the Pretendo servers are so cool. Splatoon 1 online in 2025 is just awesome.

My favorite part of being a graphic designer / programmer / 3D modeller / IT guy is somehow being unemployable in every single field all at once.
