Essential to remind that libraries are not just vital sources of knowledge and information but also excellent community centers devoted to under-served populations. Services for job-seekers, the blind, for senior citizens. They lend out books but also tech, cooking equipment, media players.

I accidentally bought more books. No, obviously I don't *air quotes* need more books. But since when has need had anything to do with it? When will I read them? Hahahaaahahaaaaa. Semantics. #booksky #toomanybookstoolittletime

When Amazon launched in 1995, there were 5,500 indie bookshops in the U.S., with 7,000 locations. By May of 2023, that number had decreased to 2,185 indies & 2,599 locations.

When you purchase audiobooks via Libro.fm vs. Audible, you directly support indie bookshops. Let's make that number grow ❤️

I've just done this too, and am feeling really good about it! 🤗😇 #booksky #audiobooks
I canceled my audible subscription (even though I had a few unused credits) and bought a Libro FM membership. @libro.fm is employee-owned & shares profits w/ your chosen locally owned bookstore. I feel SO GOOD about this!

Loved 'Isaac and the Egg' (available in your friendly school library), and looking forward to this one! #bedesreads #booksky
I honestly can't find the words to articulate how beautiful this book is & how moved I was by it. A stunning exploration of love, loss & man's relationship with nature, I'm genuinely lost for how to explain its impact on me. Highly, highly recommend #BookSky

I love the US, I'm a quarter American, I have American family, my great uncle was an ambassador and a senator, I have visited many times and seen much of the country. I feel a strong sense of solidarity with all the Americans who DID NOT VOTE FOR THIS!! #booksky #libraries #America
