I was hoping crossworlds wasn't gonna have the same issue as newer mario karts where they very much rewards players carrying good items into high places on the last lap it's something really wished to avoid.

I think running back to back events like this with time exclusive items that you rank and play a ton to get before the time runs out to even get, causes extreme burnout and often leads to unhealthy amounts of grinding.

CrossWorlds has events where you play a team game mode for points to earn cosmetics. The problem is there are titles for being in the Top 1000, 100, and 10 highest point earners by the end. The system for this is poorly thought out and encourages you to kill yourself on top of 2x point RNG factors.
