Finally finished Death Stranding 2 over the weekend after 4 months on and off. Gameplay ofc felt MUCH better than the previous, but I do think the vibes of DS1 were simply unmatched. Really felt more isolated and desolate. That said, fantastic game! Bring more silliness back into "serious" games.

last week i remembered that macOS lets you set your own icons and that *I* have the power to delegitimize the professionalism of the software that runs on my machine, so here's a thread of the 16 new icons i've made so far

Came across a photo from earlier this year when I hosted a pixel art workshop at Yorkshire Games Festival. It had to be low-tech so I got folk to design characters based on a Fungal Knight concept on quarters of post it notes to keep their designs simple, pass them around and then I pixelled them!

When it comes to art and storytelling, I think it’s important not to mistake personal preference for absolute law. Oftentimes, folks conflate the two and loudly say a thing must be A instead of B simply because they don’t like the latter. They frame it as if it’s nonnegotiable.
