Yeah I'm hopeful for what they might achieve and will tell my friends and relations to vote for them and probably knock some doors around election time but my main focus is still going to be my union, I don't have the capacity to go deep into party politics on top of everything else and that's fine.
Think we live in a similar part of the world and while not a single parent family we're definitely less well off than our kid's friendship group (and thus our friendship group.) Play date at the tiny messy terrace, is it? Luckily kids don't seem to give a shit, at least through primary school.
Very funny imo that having watched various Prime Ministers implode doing stupid shit to appeal to their base, Labour's big move is to instead do stupid shit that their own base absolutely hates, with predictable results.
I have come to the conclusion the EHRC guidance on single sex spaces should not even come to Parliament. It is misleading and has caused distress for my trans constituents.
I urge @bphillipsonMP to reject it on grounds of practicality and human rights.
