The new evening routine involves lying in bed with my cat and mom watching BBC mystery shows while she falls asleep.

My cat LOOOOVES it.

EVERYTHING IS FINE.

I did at one time.
Spoilers: I was depressed.
Writers, do you ever fear running out of story ideas? This is one fear I don’t have #writingq #WritingCommunity

After the week I've had, I'm getting sushi.

My brain is very mushy after yesterday but somehow I need it to become coherent enough to rewrite this scene.

Last night: home at midnight from ER
This morning: dumped hot tea on myself while driving to appointment

Obviously these things are not related.

My Friend @mariness.bsky.social is a damn fine poet.

Yes. Because negotiating health insurance is super fun.

Also, no one needs to cosplay being an entrepreneur. Negotiating your health care is not the same thing as running a business. Which not everyone is good at doing anyway either! Are they, Donald?
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

🎶 Seven hours at the ER, woo woo woo.

(Everyone is fine, just a scare with high BP and a desire to confirm it wasn't a medication side effect.)

Today has been very difficult. If someone who has been depressed suggests you might be depressed, can you take them seriously? For me.

Daredevil: Born Again discussion time!

What do I remember from recoding? Deep discussions about Fisk and Vanessa. Me stopping myself from talking about how much Matt and Frank love each other. Deep appreciation for nuance.

You know how Supernatural has a gift for everything? Can someone do that for Stargate so I can always find the exact gif I'm looking for?

I hate this timeline.
15 million Americans are going to lose their health care.

Finished revising another scene.
Did everything else I meant to do.
Slightly less back pain overall.
Cat ate better today.
Read The Haunting of Hill House.

Calling it a win.

I love how I had my chronic pain pretty well managed and then the last three weeks happened. (Preceeded by the entirety of September.)
October 30, 2025 at 3:02 AM
My cat was napping on my face while I was also napping and at one point covered my eyes so completely my sleepy brain thought the power had gone out.

To no one's surprise, my feelings on What If can be summed up by how many episodes have Bucky in them.
October 17, 2025 at 3:13 AM
Wow, this new version of covid where it feels like you swallowed razorblades sure is fun.
October 14, 2025 at 7:40 PM
Today my cat and I chased a lizard together, and I tested positive for covid. I am so (existentially) tired.
October 14, 2025 at 3:01 AM
I would love for my brain to stop responding to stress with insomnia.

Two important questions have arisen:

1. Has a filker ever made a Spider-Man song to "Whip It"?

2. Where can I listen to "Thwip It"?
