I make the world's best bicycle wash kits as the Service Course. Used to write about pro cycling. Professional communications guy in a parallel universe.
Look, I don't care where it starts and ends, it's Gent-Wevelgem. This sport is weird as hell, just embrace it.

And so, as usual, the flight schedule out of National Airport is really the only thing that matters in Congress.

Throwing sandwiches at all my friends at DCCX this weekend. They are powerless to stop me.

First nose strips came back, now this.
Crap, all the clubs are going to do white kit next year, aren't they?
Time is a flat circle

(I'm also convinced this is AI)

Just a little too late to drive wash kit sales at Pan Am cyclocross champs, but welcome nonetheless.
Most models show a sharp cold front coming through the DC region sometime on Sunday or Sunday night. That front, which may bring a period of showers and a thunderstorm, should usher in the coldest air of the season thus far. Maybe even a few stray snowflakes?

@ee1.nl Were we talking about the Burney/Cyclocross pic of Beat Breu? Found it.

As our short king Lars has announced his retirement at the end of the season, you should know that in addition to his formidable palmares, he is also a very nice guy. 👑

Between the government shutdown and all the layoffs, the end of the DC-area cyclocross season is going to be insanely fast.

Amazing. And strangely, when I picture Breu, it’s not for the Alpe but for a head-to-toe mud shot in Simon Burney’s original cyclocross book.
With Alpe d'Huez back in the Tour de France, this replica model commemorates Beat Breu's stage win there in 1982 with Breu alone in the lead just before the arch. It's got a Dutch corner and plenty of other details. It's about a metre long. Best of all Breu made it himself

The “posting a photo as a video to appease the Instagram algorithm” thing is really annoying.

It’s a shame that its release by a rival grocery store chain will prevent the @tomashuuns.bsky.social collab this deserves.

So, how many competitors being airlifted from an event is too many?

The license-holding organization for the Lotto team is "Captains of Cycling." Love that confidence, boys.

The great thing about racing cyclocross is that nobody tries to talk to you about AI for 45 whole minutes.

I feel like the focus on top tube shape/profile for shouldering (see, e.g., new Pinarello Crossista) is disproportionate to the time spent shouldering in modern cyclocross.

Alpecin released rosters for races in four disciplines this weekend. Wild that Gravel Worlds is the who’s-who squad and Lombardia is the who’s-that.
