I absolutely agree. This has been my worst fear since the Russian involvement in our 2016 elections. If they wanted to destabilize the USA and destroy democracy (they did, and do) this was the perfect plan.

One thing for me that came out of yesterday's boycott: I deleted FB, FB Messenger, and the Starbucks apps from my phone, and changed my desktop homepage so it's no longer FB. So I'm being much more conscious about my choices. These are small adjustments, but I know there's a ripple effect.

If someone had orchestrated a plan to kill our democracy -- which is really what I fear the most, and have since the Russian interference surfaced in our 2016 elections -- it's working.

I saw my first Cybertruck "in the wilds" yesterday here in Queens. Weird. And those taillights are ridiculously small and hard to see.
A Cybertruck with Basel license plates was stopped by the police in Switzerland. The vehicle was taken off the road because it does not meet Swiss standards. The driver was arrested.

I saw my first Cybertruck "in the wilds" yesterday here in Queens. Weird. And those taillights are ridiculously small and hard to see.
I just deleted FB, FB Messenger, and the Starbucks app from my phone (maybe just for the next 24 hours, we'll see). That felt good. I have cash for tomorrow and plans to get my coffee from a small local place and probably not buy anything else.

I worked (paying into Soc Sec) for 18 yrs then became disabled & lost a FT job w/benefits bc of my illness. Then I had PT jobs w/out insurance; started 2 businesses, hoping to get myself health insurance & ultimately lost them bc I was sick. I depend on Soc Sec Disability, Medicare, Medicaid, & EBT

Social Security ISN'T something for nothing: we workers PAY INTO it. "Entitlement" wrongly sounds like charity. Whose bank account can generate the interest to live on w/out doing any ACTUAL work? Plus, the rest of us have to pay taxes. Otoh, letting all us dead weight actually die may be the goal.

I found a #bodegacat in Williamsburg today. Her name is Bella, and she came out from behind the counter to defend her territory from an elderly dog in a bright orange coat. The deli didn't have coffee, so I had to get a $4 espresso at a little place across the street that was neko-cat themed.
