Reflecting on something I saw here. Was anyone else at primary school a music / bell monitor? I remember being one in Grade 5 and 6. At recess and lunch I would have a preprepared mixtape (probably off Casey Kasem's American top40) and play songs bookended by the bell. Surprised I never DJ'd lol.

On Valentine’s Day 36 years ago, at the request of Carl Sagan, NASA turned Voyager 1's camera back toward earth for one last look.
From 3.7 billion miles away, it captured this: a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
Here is how #CarlSagan beautifully described it:

Maungawhau today was an amazing place to view the city of Auckland from. Would have been amazing to see this place centuries ago as a fortified pā, where Māori communities lived and worked. #NewZealand

One thing that astonishes me about the Herzog visit is that Israel has murdered more journalists than any other state in the 21st century, and he hasn’t faced a single question about this (to my knowledge) from the Australian media

You’re all scoffing but Angus Taylor has the potential to be the greatest Liberal leader since Brendan Nelson. Maybe even Alexander Downer.

Never, ever, doubt the stupidity and self-interest which dominates conservative politics in this country.

And sadly it has now spread unchecked into the ALP.

Australia be better. We are increasingly getting the politicians we deserve...

He is mesmirising on-screen.
