MPs always ensure their pay rises are inflation proofed. By contrast, doctors, like all public sector workers, are told by successive govts they're being greedy when they seek they same treatment. Real term pay cuts simply can't be justified. In any form. Certainly not those imposed by Labour.
MP's basic salary in 2021 = £81,932.00
MP's basic salary in 2025 = £93,904.00
That's a 14.6% pay rise in five years.
