I am fascinated by tubeworms and take ridiculous quantities of photos of them. These seasonally appropriate Christmas tree worms retract into their tubes quickly at the slightest disturbance so it's good practice to hover motionless while getting the shot. 🦑 #scuba #diving #oceans #coralreef

I see that Christie's is auctioning Gilbert Stuart's 1804 portrait of George Washington (used on $1 bill). Versions of the portrait appeared on earlier bank notes, including this $2 bill where George is second fiddle to Horses Frightened by Lightning vignette. Continental Bank, Boston, $2, 18--.🗃️

My kind, beautiful, perfect Mother would’ve turned 100 today. She lived until 2019, anxiously awaiting the day she got to vote “that creature” out of office in 2020. She would be horrified to learn that he was re-elected last year, but not crushed. Nothing crushed this amazing, indomitable woman.
