I made a South Jersey feed, because the Philly feed is nice but Philadelphians will be quick to tell you that just because I can see the Linc from my neighborhood, and it's closer to City Hall than Chestnut Hill is, doesn't mean it's a Philadelphia suburb: bsky.app/profile/did:...
Genuinely thought this was an Onion headline or at least referencing a Nic Cage movie.

(Still not 100% sure it's not.)

Yesterday morning kids were sent running from their bus stop in panic because ICE showed up. This guy at today’s ICE Out of Lindenwold protest is a must watch 😭. @maddow.bsky.social

I moved halfway across the country in the tail end of my junior year of high school, and only went half days my senior year so I didn't make many friends, and I wrote letters to a couple friends from the old school but it would be 15+ years before email would be remotely common so... 🤷
watching John Green talk about his buddy from high school who is still his friend and I’m curious, is that common for people on here?

There's a market tomorrow, so it's time for my pre-market ritual...

My plea for you to buy a t-shirt right here & now so my box of t-shirts isn't as heavy tomorrow!

THAT'S right! I want this box to be a manageable weight!

Get 'em at SquidFacts.net!

Multicolor filaments have arrived! Two of these are very fast changing and more suited to the smaller prints we do most of the time. Bigger prints will be more stripey than ombre.

Lindenwold is on the PATCO line, with lots of inexpensive apartments clustered near(ish) the station. Guess it's time to start handing out whistles on *this* side of the river. 😡

Security video showed the fourth- and fifth-grade students running, with some shouting: “ICE! ICE!”

OTOH, *I* saw the container of tonkatsu sauce just sitting by the sink instead of back in the fridge, so knowing there are two more slices of tofuyaki in the fridge is merely okay.

(chances *are* non-zero that I'm the one that left it out of the fridge though)
Remembered I have half a cheesesteak in the fridge I can have for lunch, and my morning got brighter.

Gonna be able to make whistles appropriate for distribution in the Gayborhood!
Part of why we were so excited about these is that he designed them to print on their sides, so you can pack 100 onto the A1 mini plate easily! I did my first 100 whistle test run and omg I LOVE THEM NOW THE RAINBOWS GO ACROSS THEM???

(teeth grooves added by suggestion of folks using them!)

Generally nope to stinky dairy product (Bleu cheese, cottage cheese, sometimes ranch), never had oysters (aside from Rocky Mountain...) but would give them a try.

(Actually might have had fried ones on a mixed shellfish plate, I dunno though.)
7 for me how about y’all ?

Broke my "if they have a veg option in the menu, take it" and for a shrimp quesadilla and... it's tail-on shrimp.

That is certainly a textural situation.

I always have little things from my freebie box (things I threw in Etsy orders back when) on me so I'm honor of Liam I put one of them on my purse. Gave one to the PT guy because I overheard him telling my passenger he was a big Spider-Man fan. (I have three more so replaced it.)

This morning's waiting room: guy in a Marine veteran cap and Puerto Rico shirt getting impressive volume out of his phone watching bagpipe tiktok(?)

He politely turned it down when someone else took a call loud enough to be speakerphone but held to her ear.

One of the fun things about the MendelMax was that it itself was very 3d printed, so you were supposed to immediately print another printer with your printer (either for spare parts, or to build another printer).

Haha, it'll be nice to have an already complete printer out of the box, we said,

Okay yes, it would get me discounts, but I'm not sure I would want a credit card that would elicit sniggers anywhere outside the Midlantic (and sometimes in).

You do not gotta show ID to board a train anywhere I know of. You do to fly on a plane but I have flown on the tiny pixelated B&W picture on my Costco ID: you get to go through "enhanced screening" if you do that. (This may not still be the case with the Real ID nonsense; this was a few years ago.)
Markwayne Mullin defends "show me your papers": "If you're here legally, there's nothing to hide. Most people already are walking around with a government-issued ID, meaning your Real ID or your driver's license. If you go board a train here, you gotta show your ID."

Kids these days should do it the way we did (by selling a bunch of unopened Magic boxes we got for playtesting Antiquities).
a few weeks ago i saw a reddit post that was like “if you recently bought a home how did you get the down payment” and 9/10 replies were either “parents gave it to me” or an inheritance

Guess I should get filament for the 2D printer too.

Feel like I should clarify: this is such a traditional place that they *don't* have [cheese] steaks or pizza on the menu (which most otherwise-traditional ethnic restaurants do around here). No frozen chicken nuggets and fries on a kid's menu or nothing.

And yet: "tofu hoagie."
There is a really excellent Vietnamese restaurant a couple blocks from us but because we're near Philly I have to call it a "tofu hoagie" and not a "banh mi." 😬
