I made a South Jersey feed, because the Philly feed is nice but Philadelphians will be quick to tell you that just because I can see the Linc from my neighborhood, and it's closer to City Hall than Chestnut Hill is, doesn't mean it's a Philadelphia suburb: bsky.app/profile/did:...

So, I told the 🏳️‍🌈 kids (who are adults, to be clear!) they should watch the hockey show and apparently BK did with his SO over the weekend and got through half of it. Came home and said, "I think this is something we need to watch alone, it's all sex!" 😆

Anyway I just realized: Gritty does all kinds

You ready for our 2026 Valentines??

The art is ready for ya 😍

As with everything on our shop, sales of these valentines support @skypeascientist.bsky.social!

This year's cards were designed by Philly artist @aprilfinfrock.bsky.social! Obsessed with how these turned out.

I'M IN
If you’re looking for a fun but morally horrifying holiday project, I can say from experience that Xmodem over WebRTC is, technically, quite possible. The next step, obviously, is implementing WebBBSs with RESTful doors.

Today was the first day of real PT exercises at home (except the bike, I gotta go back to the gym for that, RIGHT WHEN ALL THE RESOLUTION PEOPLE SHOW UP) since normally I just have off-day stretches.

I wear my Flo-Mask at PT so I genuinely did not realize just how heavy I breathe doing stair steps.

Bluesky will have truly arrived when, and only when, Gritty starts posting here.

We didn't get as much glaze ice in South Jersey as I had feared, and I don't think we got any snow to speak of, just dry sleet pellets. Sounded like a gentle sandstorm against the windows all evening.

One more PT session and then I'm left to my own devices (until spring when I get the other knee done). Whee!

Looking forward to Vice President Al Gore Jr. explaining the future to me here.

The "20+ Blocks" [in 24 hours, within the last 3 days] labeler is great but this is the first time I've seen it on other than a reply guy.

Just realized that, despite PT playing goofy Christmas music at me all month, I did not hear Dominick yet this year!
🎄 GOOD MORNING, and welcome back to the annual Italian Christmas Donkey Challenge 🫏

The rules are simple 🌟

You must find a person who has never heard “Dominick the Donkey” and play it for them:

I was, uh, less than successful at getting a good picture of these decals for @cheatlines.co and the rest of the What Type gang.

(Spouse does not believe a pilot would drive a tiny VW but when I worked for $CARGOLINE I knew pilots who drove Yugos so...)

We have owned, well, every one of these vehicles and when it was a minivan: "I can fit an inordinate amount of cargo in this thing!" was one of our favorite lines. (We still say "'Cept for the fry, that's just old" every time we clean out the XUV, which does NOT fit an inordinate amount of cargo.)

We are doing Christmas today because one of the kids has another family to go to but: NERD CHRISTMAS!

Today's PT achievement: left via the stairs instead of the elevator. (I've been doing stairs but it's a long one and I usually have used up my stair-climbing ability by the end of PT. It does have handrails on both sides which helps.)
As I was leaving PT, office staff was running around looking for the source of a burning smell, so that was fun. It's a basement office full of people with mobility problems, and some of the patients were like "uhhhhh what do you mean I can't use the elevator in an evacuation situation?" Yikes.

Oh shit I FOUND THE SOURCE

It's this account: @bskystarterpack|.bsky.social (remove the |, didn't want to tag)

The starter packs are being used by the 🤖 accounts to populate their follows-I'm in the Animals and Wildlife pack at the very bottom, it's the EXACT people in the exact order
It's been a week since this started, and I've gone from 7.5k to 8.5k, with no signs of it stopping or even slowing

1,000 🤖 accounts

THOUSAND
Since posting this I've gone from 7.5k to 7.9k followers, and almost every single one is fake

I've also stopped getting notifications for follows and have to look manually via my profile, where it doesn't display them properly any more

I have lived in Jersey/Philly area for over ten years and it still delights me when a Classic New Jerseyan shows up. Two or more articles of bejeweled clothing, Dunkin in one hand and speakerphone in the other, "I'M IN DA DOCTAH'S AWFICE WIT PAULIE."

There is a medication called Otezla and I always mishear it in the waiting room TV as "a Tesla" so, just so you know, "a Tesla may cause diarrhea..."

On a scale of 1 to 10, how stupid is trying to go to Costco on December 23rd? 🤔

Ooh, I wonder if I can get the kid up in time to go during executive hours (kid has a 10:45 appointment across the street).
