that look from the strongest woman in the world's strongest woman competition as she is forced to take second place behind a man pretending to be a woman

"you do realise we have people on staff who know more about this industry and have better skills than the consultants, right?"

"you can't know that!"

"yes I can, and the reason you don't is you will accept a lunch invitation from a consultant but not talk to your own staff"
November 24, 2025 at 6:16 AM
i'm in a government agency right now watching external consultants burn money and it's just rage 24/7.
November 24, 2025 at 5:39 AM
it's all of them. all the time. deloitte, accenture, mckinsey, FTI, this is their business model.

and i live in south australia, where our state power grid is stabilised by a tesla megabattery farm that elon basically built on a dare with an AU entrepreneur. "no-ones ever done it because it can't be done" - "bullshit, i'll do it and if it's over budget or late i'll do it for free"

he did it.
November 24, 2025 at 5:06 AM
that's a tricky one to answer, and I'm not a car guy so i don't really have a feel for how teslas stack up. but spacex rockets are probably the most successful launch vehicles of all time. very high reliability + insane launch frequency. the falcon 9 model alone was more than 50% of 2024 launches
November 24, 2025 at 5:02 AM
still is
November 24, 2025 at 3:10 AM
yeah but that's not elon building something - it's him charging in like an idiot and thinking he can "improve" something incredibly complex that he knows nothing about and totally breaking it. there are some things that you just can't start from scratch on, and government services is certainly one

since almost all teachers are women, surely that means that women are deliberately teaching girls to avoid maths?

The BoM website is a scandal - a perfect example of incompetent public service and possibly fraudulent consulting; no concept of value for money because government work comes with a blank cheque. #auspol

by far the most efficient way of boosting gender diversity in maths is paying boys to identify as "gender-diverse"
One university boosted gender diversity in advanced maths by over 30% in 5 years – here’s how
A lack of gender diversity in maths means technologies such as AI and quantum computing are mainly designed by – and for – men.
