I graduated from the digital artist stage of naming files nonsense like "asldgkjhsadlfgkjs.jpg" a while ago, but I felt like my current naming convention could use improving. (I have so many files just titled "skoryx doodle".) Now I'm going to try adopting a "YYYY-MM-DD_specifics" naming format.

Not sure what I will do with my big 24" XP Pen tablet. It is in its own case for now. Might sell it, might keep it. If I were an artist or animator full-time my big tablet would make sense but it's just overkill. I think having this tiny tablet will help me get back into casual art again =:)

When I moved to Alaska, I brought my big tablet and left my small one behind. I bought a copy of my small one off eBay for a few bucks and it was so worth it. I missed being able to draw on a tiny surface. I missed having a portable setup. And mostly, I missed playing osu!

Bigger and newer is not always better. I got sick of getting eyestrain, sweaty hands, and wrist pain from using my giant $$$ tablet and I have reverted back to using my ol reliable $ tablet that I've had for over a decade now

A nemesis bird is a bird you've always wanted to see but you keep missing despite your best efforts. Last week I FINALLY got my nemesis Spruce Grouse.Then I saw @thebirdist.bsky.social got his nemesis, Connecticut Warbler, so I thought I'd post this old comic about nemesis birds. Do you have one?

A six panel comic. In panel 1, two people are birding and one says "Ah. There's my nemesis bird" while looking through binoculars at an American Goldfinch. In panel 2, the other person says "Wow, a nemesis bird! That's a species you keep trying and failing to see, right?" The first person says "Normally, yes." In panel 3, the first person angrily says "We meet at last, Chirpy Joe." The goldfinch says "Susan. So it has come to this." In panel 4, the bird and woman are glaring at each other like they're in a fight scene in an anime, and the woman says "Your flock bankrupted my family's seed company." The goldfinch says "When the seed stopped flowing, I grew hungry... for justice." In panel 5, the person says "Enough! Let's settle this." The bird says "Bring it, mammal!"
