No riding thinks the same way. But First Past the Post acts like they do. It shuts out voices and wastes votes.

Proportional representation makes every vote count and ensures fair representation for every community.

A purple background graphic with the title “What people say vs what our voting system hears.” On the left, a cartoon woman says: “In my riding, 34% support the Liberals, 32% support the Conservatives, 19% support the NDP, 12% want the Greens and…” On the right, another woman replies: “So you’re all Liberals.”

Guy in a "rolling coal" truck peeled out through a red light at the construction zone on Seymour & 4th just to stop at the next red light. Love to share public road space with these people

New VPD contract would make officers the highest paid in Canada.

Meanwhile, BC public workers make 25% less than public workers in other provinces.

BC gov showed up 3 hours late to the meeting with BCGEU and then offered 0.5% more than their last offer. How insulting.

Merritt (population 7,051) has flexible bollards on Voght St where cars were cutting corners over the painted line into the bike lane, can we get this technology in Kamloops?

There's been a rezoning sign posted on the massive R James Western Star heavy truck repair lot for over a year, so clearly there's something in the works. It will take deep pockets to develop a lot that size, I wonder who's behind it.

This sounds amazing, I hope developers are already drawing up plans!

"Support the development of a highly walkable main-street atmosphere along Oriole Rd, Falcon Rd, and Industrial Dr through the use of wide sidewalks, street trees, ground-floor commercial, and other placemaking"

BC public workers make 25% less than public workers in other provinces. And the cost of living is way higher here.

In a statement, Vaughan Mayor Steven Del Duca pivoted from speed cameras to violent crime, suggesting we should spend more time focussing on the latter. That’s illuminating. Vehicles obviously present the bigger statistical threat, especially to children. But we accept those injuries and deaths.

There's no statute of limitations on the British Crown stealing land in 1871 sorry. It's not a giveaway

Indigenous rights ARE private property rights. The land in question was literally stolen under the lens of OUR laws that's why FNs keep winning in court

How much time does each municipality's transportation department spend duplicating effort by designing AT infrastructure from scratch? I don't know. But I do know that BC doesn't have an org like Velo Quebec that helps cities and towns design their AT across the province.

Devil is always in the details, I'd have to see the guidelines. Would make sense if only applied to corporate landlords or buildings over a certain # of units.
