In 2019, Premier Ford substantially cut OSAP grants and axed the interest-free six-month grace period before graduates had to repay OSAP loans. He's again limiting grants as well as vastly increasing loans — a recipe for massive student debt, to begin being repaid immediately post-graduation.

Susan B. Anthony was born #OTD in 1820.

She dedicated her life to women's #suffrage, and campaigned for the abolition of slavery, women's property rights, and more: susanbanthonyhouse.org/her-story/bi...

Active until she died in 1906. She never got to vote in her lifetime (well, legally that is).
A classic black-and-white portrait photograph of Susan B. Anthony, the legendary American suffragist, abolitionist, and women's rights pioneer, taken in her later years. She is seated in a formal pose against a plain dark background, wearing a high-necked, long-sleeved black dress with elaborate lace trim and floral-patterned lace collar and cuffs. Her white hair is neatly styled in a low bun with a small decorative comb or ribbon. Income inequality is at an all-time high in Canada.

Meanwhile, CEO pay keeps climbing. The top 1% richest families control almost a quarter of the country’s wealth. And the six biggest banks raked in $70 billion in profits last year alone.

It’s time to tilt the scales back towards the 99%.
"Tax the Ultra-Rich" slide. Text: "Implement a wealth tax on the top 1%, starting at 1% and rising to 3% on the largest fortunes, to generate as much as $40 billion a year. Create a new tax bracket for the top income earners. Treat capital gains the same as employment income. Tax wealth inheritance over $5 million."
