Oh, if you are going to the No Kings action in downtown Minneapolis, take transit. The Green line & Blue line stop (US Bank Stadium is just a couple blocks away or the Govt Center stop too; short walk). The 10, 11, 17, 18 all stop on Nicollet Mall and then it's abt a 7 block walk to the park.

"Crime" = "People I don't want to see, help, or even consider as fellow human beings."

From Vance in DC to Duffy's fear mongering about the NYC subway, this is it in a nutshell.
REPORTER: Why are troops stationed here at Union Station and at the National Mall instead of areas where crime is higher?

JD VANCE: Crime is actually extremely high here at Union Station. You have vagrants.

Used to live near here and love this pool. Miss ya, DC. You're not crime-ridden, but there are some criminals we should eject from office!!

State of transit in the Twin Cities.

I'm in the city of St Paul. Going to another spot in the city of St Paul. On a workday. I'm supposed to wait 30 minutes between arriving and at a downtown intersection for my connecting bus . Really??!!
Come on!!

I'm trying to use public Transit in the Twin Cities. I took light rail then connected to a bus. Barely made it. If I missed this bus, The next one isn't for 30 minutes. No wonder everyone drives here.
Build it and they will come!! Car ownership is too expensive and climate change is real!

Question for bike friends re Germany. I know some trains allow you to take a bike on them. Are there any buses or trams that you can take a bike on?

What is the purpose of a car alarm in the US anymore ? Can they be permanently disabled? What would one do if one saw someone trying to get into a car with the alarm going off- probably think it was the owner who pressed the wrong button.

You'll never guess why I ask! 😀
