Electroniq now supports importing text files (e.g. BBC BASIC programs) via "turbo pasting". It also supports exporting BBC BASIC programs to text files, for easy editing in your favourite editor.

For me it's always about timings and how much I can process per frame / pass. Eg - there's up to 6 geese in Chuckulus, but each core loop only processes 3 of them ! Kind of pins down their movement speed too !

Many thanks for the recent order- arrived intact today ! 😎

Had a little revelation re the box reinforcement- LEGO !
Have enough spare bricks to build a frame around the inside of the box and the tape slot- fits quite well- just one strip of cardboard to push down the long edge, but that's it !

Change of pace today - attended a family funeral 150 miles away. We decided to do the trip there and back in a day, including the pesky M25.
7 hours of driving in one day - can't do that anymore ! Glass of wine and bed I think !

That's sorted the geese/hen 'flipping' issues as they go around to the back of the silo !

It's still possible to make them flap around like a mad thing, but can't really do too much about that .... it'll do !

I think that's all the geese problems sorted out then ! 🤯

Cool, there was a PET at school in CDT class, but I didn't take that up for GCSEs, so never really got to use it!

First computer - Acorn Electron with Sanyo DR101 (dad got it for education purposes of course) - first game, Chuckie Egg I think.

Plus 1, Slogger Pegasus 400 and disc drive came later!

It's gotten somewhat complex recently..... It wasn't too bad until I introduced the vertical pixel scrolling ! Geese and DUCK clipping got crazy, tracking what to do when Harry jumps off the lift, dealing with what map fraction Harry is in and moving into the next map cell etc...🤯

That's a couple of geese/hen issues sorted out. They eat the grain a lot faster, so shouldn't be able to rotate to the edges of the tower while eating !

Lower geese clipping sorted as well - this ended up a bit messy, but at least you can see them down there !
