I lost 350 lbs, now officially a third of the man I used to be! IT guy, hiker, sunset appreciator. #525tolife #eppursimuove

I’m having issues too and I’m a subscriber. Can’t load it in the NYT Games app or directly. It looks like something to do with their authentication system.
I quit the Alexa Plus early access program and put it back to the way it was. I felt a little like Big Chief smothering Randall P. McMurphy, but it had to be done. It was telling me the wrong dates for events, screwing up home automation stuff, just not reliable.
I’m not sure what it says about me that the thing Facebook ads is pushing me the hardest I can recall in years (harder than the fancy office chairs and CPAPs!) is a Slavoj Žižek lecture in Los Angeles, but here we are.
WindHawk fixes this and many other Windows 11 annoyances.
Appreciated, but it still says consumer ESU is $30 without saying that for almost everyone with a Microsoft personal account it can be had for free. If you have a personal or family 365 subscription, agree to backup some settings to your MS account, or have 1000 of their "reward points" it's free.
It’s the first time Microsoft has made ESU available to consumers, and it’s only for a year as far as we know, you get to kick the can down the road for a year. Let’s see where we are in November 2026.
If you have an Office 365 subscription or some other qualifying relationships with Microsoft, ESU is free. Look in the Windows Update section of settings for a link that says enroll in extended security updates. Once you’re enrolled, you’re good for another year.

Use Windows 10 securely with the Extended Security Updates program. See how it helps protect your PC and find out how to get it.

Dave this article is missing info. The $61 cost for a year of extended support is for businesses only. Individual users can get extended updates for $30 and many can get it for free. If you want to keep running Windows 10 you can, and there’s lots of info about how to do it online.
Hey @wychstreet.bsky.social I’m at the Hollywood Bowl and your boy Jarvis is making it happen.
It says right here, “pretty girls love art”.
Now the whole world knows your secret Blaine, you are a time traveler from the future and you brought tirzepatide with you. Also, you had to let Joan Collins die in a traffic accident and you didn’t and that’s why we’re in this fucking timeline.
I swear to God this just happened, young man is walking up the fire road at Runyon next to me and he sees a sign that says “Fire Road” and he says “Fire road? What’s so fire about it? His companion says “ fire like fire engines.” And then the young man goes “Oh.” By the way I am now 200 years old.
By the way if you wanna hear the story of how Bill Hicks scared the bejesus out of me behind the scenes of the American Comedy Awards in 1993, allow me to refer you to youtu.be/2uEg0CMsA70?...

I think when you said he wasn’t Carlin or Hicks I felt like you were dismissing his ability to comment on current events etc. He’s got great people writing for him including Laurie Kilmartin who is as sharp and edgy as anybody, and he puts people front and center who don’t get the chance often.
They are doing two different things, Carlin was doing elegant written stand-up honed over time. Kimmel is pumping out comment and jokes daily. I was more aggrieved by JS’ dismissal of him as a force for change. I just think he’s a good guy who’s grown a lot and uses his platform incredibly well.
I don’t think he’s as far away from those guys as you think. He has a national platform and he’s used it to call out Trump’s stupidity and fascism, his jokes may not have the elegant construction of Seth Myers “A Closer Look” but he was very blunt about what is going on and it cost him.
Jimmy Kimmel has been and continues to be an upstanding guy. Look at who he had guest host for him while he was out for the summer, look who he gives a platform. Note that he paid his staff and writers out of his pocket during the strike. Kimmel is a good guy, and this is an abomination.
The more I think about it, the more I live, I find the true dividing line between good and evil is power. What do you do with it when you have it? Who do you help? Who do you hurt? Nothing else really matters.
The fact that I got the blue category in today’s Connections first is perhaps the strongest statement of LGBTQ+ allyship I have ever made.

All I can think of is how much my mother would have loved this. She is missed.
why does this wonderful image not show up anywhere in the story, only in links to the story? Loved loved loved the piece - so funny! the last one hurt a little :)
The first R-rated movie I ever saw. My mom wanted to go see “Fiddler on the Roof” at the local repertory theater and 11-year old me had absolutely no interest in that. I went into the next-door theater where “Sorcerer” was just starting and I’m still thinking about the intensity of that experience.

Sounds like ICE killed a guy and then held american citizens hostage at gunpoint until they agreed to destroy the evidence
Our staff is on the ground supporting families. Many workers-including US citizens, were held by federal authorities at the farm for 8 hours or more. US citizen workers report only being released after they were forced to delete photos and videos of the raid from their phones. 4/
