It's also important to plan things to look forward to. Movies to watch, books to read, time with family and friends, meals, cuddles with a pet, a vacation; both short and long-term things that will bring you joy, comfort, and a sense of community. These are essential to making it through tough times

Everyone i talk to feels like they are working too hard given how much is breaking down. We need us here for the long haul. It's ok to not finish that thing today. To try again tomorrow. To ask for more time. To let up the pressure on yourself and let someone else step in.

The thing to understand about "age verification" laws is that they are not just for kids

The only way to "stop kids from doing xyz online" using age-gating is to demand a government ID (or invasive biometric face scan) from EVERYONE.

This means associating your gov ID with EVERYTHING YOU DO ONLINE

capitalism + fossil fuel pollution + racism: hand in hand in hand
The CEOs of both Ford and Stellantis, who are there to celebrate the rollback of vehicle emissions standards (which will drive climate change), are standing right behind Trump as he makes these racist comments.
Trump, continued: "What the Somalian people have done to Minnesota is not even believable. It’s not even believable. And a lot of it starts with the governor. A lot of it starts with Barack HUSSEIN Obama, because that’s when people started coming in... They want to kiss our country good night."

This is a great reframing. And also consider this same question within the framework of orbital debris. How many do we need knowing that once they are defunct there is a time delay before they are removed from the system.
There continues to be a lot of conversation on how astronomers and researchers must “deal” with the existing and incoming pollution caused by satellite constellations.

But I want to see this reframed into asking:

“Why do these companies need this many satellites in orbit?”
By 2040, ~40% of the images from Hubble Space Telescope, and more than 96% from new and future space telescopes like SPHEREx, ARRAKIHS, and Xuntian will be contaminated by internet satellite constellations.
