LRP: more seriously I also think there is a difference between, say, Power Rangers SPD where the police are portrayed as an ideal of what a public peacekeeping force should be, and something like Bluebloods that just engages in racist and classist paranoia.

It is okay to enjoy movies and shows that depict good police and spies working for a good government and doing the right thing. It really is okay to like those likes of stories. As long as you categorize it into the appropriate genre: high fantasy.
