A true rarity, this bronze goose was discovered in the ruins of Constantinople’s famed luxurious hippodrome. It has a pipe in its beak, so it was probably part of a fountain, providing water to the 100,000 spectators who could fit into the circus stands. 🏺 1/

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

This opinion is incredibly moving and courageous. I *need* to be Judge Biery's clerk. According to oscar.uscourts.gov, the last time he hired a clerk was in 2011. Does anyone know any info about him?

Early Voting overlapped with the winter storm emergency. Polls were closed for 2 days. Early Voting was extended for 2 days, but those votes had to be done via Provisional Ballot Affidavit. Provisional ballots have to be "cured" within a short period of time by personal appearance + additional dox.

A judge had to issue a court order to ensure ICE provided seizure medication to a detainee, and that detainee still didn’t get their medication.

ICE enforcement is a disability justice issue.

They’re a eugenicist movement.

Alva Myrdal was a Swedish sociologist, diplomat, politician, and a prominent leader of the #disarmament movement. She was born #OTD in 1902.

She received the #Nobel Peace Prize in 1982 (along with Alfonso Robles) "for their work for disarmament and nuclear and weapon-free zones."
