Oh and you can be kicked off the list at any time or have your application denied for any reason. And it’s incredibly expensive. Esp bcz most people will want to hire lawyers so they can make sure things are filled out correctly and not denied six years into it.

He did not address the real problems of immigration policy- which are things like: countries are only allowed a certain number of immigrants each year and so every year, all new applicants have to go to the end of the line for their country- which means people can be on list for years and years.

Just like when patriarchy offsets violence from the perceived perfect victim onto societal victims that are perceived as more deserving of violence. They don't end trafficking or violence, they just offset it and standardize the offsetting.
