Trying to have a quiet ‘in my head’ day so I can cope with continuing lack of any support

Not working as well as expected as fired up by positive possibility’s, new ideas & also anger at the disrespect stigma and harm ‘official systems’ & those who run them inflict on us

In the midst of all the noise and prejudice about "overdiagnosis", the way it's presented is really dangerous. It's not academic research; the main motivations are political.

Oh ffs

Can’t they leave us alone

We need change to proper support & needs met

MHS already let #neurodivergent people down badly I feel

But no let’s traumatise #AuDHD people further by not believing, respecting & continuing 2 deny appropriate support

To build systems where neurodivergent people don’t get hurt, we must first recognise our potential to harm. To create safe l spaces where people thrive, we need to understand what thriving means. #AFBuzzwords25 sold out event was a very unique experience @annafreudcharity.bsky.social

Oh, look. A load of coverage about a new government inquiry into "overdiagnosis" that completely blurs autism & mental illness, and ends up leaning into all those tropes about people making it all up.

UK: "Brits told to 'wear a mask' as flu spreads across country"

Flu positive rate rose to 11.6% weekending Nov 25 (from 10.7%). Health chiefs said the highest positivity was in children aged 5–14.

“We haven’t seen a virus like this for a while… these dynamics are unusual,” said Prof Nicola Lewis.

71 million views. Another brilliant PR move by the outstanding WH comms team. They owned the libs again by attacking and demeaning Sabrina just because she asked them not to steal her music for one of their sick deportation videos. Thanks for the new voters.

AI Uncovers Evidence of Life in 3.3-Billion-Year-Old Rocks
A machine-learning-enhanced approach to chemical analysis is drastically expanding the chemical record of life on Earth, and it could help us find evidence of life on other planets too.

If all you did today was breathe and survive… that’s ok.

Surviving a capitalist, eugenicist, ableist system is hard work.

Resistance is exhausting.

Never forget that rest is resistance.

Survival is resistance.

You’re not alone.

There’s more of us than there are of them.

Today in research FTW: "Autistic participants were more generous towards strangers & people they barely knew than non-autistic individuals." So basically autistic people are kind regardless of whether or not they know the person; non-autistics need social vetting.

Autistic individuals are more prosocial towards strangers and people they barely know
While most people become less generous towards strangers, autistic adults maintain high levels of prosocial behavior regardless of social distance. New research confirms this generosity is intentional...

Honestly I'm glad the Lords appears to be the last bastion protecting people from what will rapidly become legalised eugenics aimed against the disabled & poor.

Disabled people are still getting non consensual DNRs put on them. You want assisted suicide? Fix up the protections, first.

Re: Autism - No matter how sincerely you treat people, the opinions they hear from others often outweigh their own experience. One negative remark about you from someone that doesn’t like you will overshadow everything else.

I’m genuinely fascinated it took me this long to realise that.

The German Health minister said this in 2023 and the government in UK has said nothing about neurological and mental health risks to children from COVID. I suppose they expect the public to think he is also a conspiracy theorist. We are truly down an antiscience rabbit hole.
