An additional three minutes of sexualized violence, I thought the pacing felt different and I was RIGHT

Haha, a few always seem blindsided that they won't materialize into some sort of salaried office or bullpen upon graduation. It's hard to explain that a freelance career is entirely dependent on their self managed work when they've got that mindset.

Another semester, another talk with the comics kids like "you're training for a skillset, you're not going to graduate into a job. That would be like getting an English degree and expecting to go get a job at English"

Ok, but if I simmer something for a /real long time/ it'll automatically be good, right?

Such nice energetic under drawing here. Big life drawing feel to the lines!

I, for one, am intrigued by this new direction in the Murderbot series.
A Chinese restaurant in Toronto, named "3rd MOM Hot Pot"

Ohhhh I'm envious, my childhood friend had this set and I've been hoping to stumble across them ever since.

Has the procreate update killed anyone else's iPad battery? I'm barely getting three hours work out of a full charge now!

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑
Frustrated little dude gripping a pencil saying “how do I pack this down into something I can actually share?” While swirling rainbows labeled “INFINITE POTENTIAL” float around them.

Little dude frowns at a tiny grey box, exclaiming “all that work for THIS?!”

Little dude shoves the grey box into another little guy’s hands; Frowning, stomping off, and saying “Here you go, I made this, it sucks.”

Second little dude cracks open the box, swirling rainbows project out onto their face.

Second little dude stares in awe at all the swirling rainbows now floating around them.

I got to read Corpse de Ballet early and let me tell you it was so GOOD.

Megan writes killer dialogue for these teen girls. I love a well-written, but absolutely terrible, human. And the monochromatic, ethereal artwork? Totally gorgeous.

I dreamed I had a dinner date in jail with The Penguin and I don't even go here. What's up subconscious?

I absolutely bought a copy of that as a gift for my cousin when we were teens! We were so disappointed it turned out to be scripts and not articles.

Hey @TMS, want to livestream a curmudgeonly retired Naval officer doing a nitpicky Detective Conan commentary reel? He's charmingly unable to admit to enjoying anything and demands exacting accuracy in military fiction, it'll be a good time.

Every now and then I'm reminded that I've probably been aboard more battleships and submarines than the average kid

I'm having big Navy Brat flashbacks with this week's Detective Conan movie. I wish I could watch this with my Dad, he'd scoff at it so much and he'd watch every minute.

The highlight of our trip was absolutely Fushimi Inari early in the morning, before the tourists. The Kyoto anime shops had better selection, even though there were fewer of them! In Tokyo, the whole Tokiwaso neighbourhood was sweet, welcoming & genuinely excited about Tezuka and the Showa era.
