I painted this as one of three alien environments developed for Pillar of Fire; we focused heavily on using transformed scale to create an alien feel, while also being playful with colour and shape to keep things whimsical and enticing despite the strangeness.
A fantastical landscape snippet on a grey background, showing a magenta desert ecosystem with oversized fungal growths and impossibly steep hills; the ground splits and fractures like slate or ice sheets. The text label reads " ARID - scaled fungi - bacterial mounds - spiny land jellyfish"

okay. I've tried this before but maybe it'll stick.

WG is a forum where you can discuss at length tv, movies, books, new releases, metatextual topics, post and discuss art, post tutorials etc, read up in threads, which will not just vanish but stick around for a bit. try it!

Another oil pastel study, seeing how far I can take a monochromatic feel with my palette of pastel sticks at the time. Painted on rag paper, my favourite for oil pastels these days by far.
A blue painting of a teen sitting in a chair in an arcade with game machines behind, lit by blue light and the neon decorations and signs of the games, wearing a striped tshirt and jeans, with light skin and straight brown hair past their shoulders.

This sounds like some kind of weird humble-brag but it’s really true. You don’t have to eat glass, but you’d be surprised how far you can get by being reliable and easy to work with. Raw drafting talent is worth nothing if you’re a piece of shit who can’t hit deadlines.

Todd McFarlane: The one thing I've learned as I got older is you can't change personality. You either eat glass or not. You can't teach that. Rob LIefeld and I were glass eaters. Not the best artists, but we stood up. You should have seen what happened if we actually had f*ckin'' talent."

Learned that I am being laid off from Heart Machine, and will be leaving the studio later this month.

Do you need a contractor? I've got a track record of leading scope-friendly script revisions late in dev. I have also done a lot of consulting on new IPs and pitches/demos. Feel free to DM me!

Getting to show you all this cover and announce that VILLAIN is officially coming out in May of next year is such a joy and a relief i don't even know how to express it.

the cover for a book entitled Villain by Natalie Zina Walschots. the cover is a bright magenta with dark blue and teal lettering for the title, and the author's name is in yellow. there is an image of the silhouette of a woman carrying a cane, surrounded by the silhouettes of five superheroes.

For the spooky times ahead - a guy you might find in a swamp.
a watercolour painting of a green swamp monster man with deepset black pits with glowing sparks in them for eyes, and tree roots wrapping up his torso, and his hands red and root-filled; painted on a white background.
