The image is funny, but the message is serious.

October is #ADHDAwarenessMonth
#ADHD is a real struggle for up to 8% of children and their parents.

The popular image is of hyperactive boys, but it is equally prevalent, and widely missed in girls.

Have been inundated with "there is an issue with your gp health insurance" #scam calls to my mobile. I don't answer unknown numbers, but they are leaving their prerecorded messages on my voice mail.
I guess it makes a change from "your Revolut card has been charged..."!

#ADHD adults are being let down by the Irish Government.
As with all things, investment now will save money in the long term, as well as improving lives, but politicians won't look past the next election.
120,000 is an underestimate of the people impacted

The Dáil has been told of the ecological crisis at Our Lady's Island Lake in Co Wexford, with Taoiseach Micheál Martin pledging that action will be taken.

Roderic O'Gorman said the lake risks becoming a "toxic goo lagoon" if the Government does not act.

Nasa data reveal extreme events like floods and droughts are now
• Twice as frequent
• Longer-lasting
• More severe

Yet just when the world *really* needs to get its act together on climate collapse, it feels like we're ever more at the mercy of fools and madmen.

Don't you just love when the bromance between the principles of two different social media platforms breaks up and then then it becomes,
"tell Elon I said this",
and,
"tell Donald I said that".

So sad.

A vital new environmental campaign, SAVE OUR SPRAT, was recently launched to fight the industrial pillage of Bantry Bay's sprat population for fish farm feed.

This is what the very best of local communities coming together to fight for wild nature looks like.

Please follow and support them!! 🙏
Industrial scale trawling threatens the complete collapse of sprat populations on which the incredibly rich marine ecosystem of Bantry Bay depends.

SAVE OUR SPRAT is campaigning for a moratorium on all such activity until the species recovers.

Please join or support us!!

We here at Save Our Sprat want to stop the indiscriminate fishing of Sprat in Bantry Bay to ensure its future as a key link in the food chain on which our marine life and the people around the Bay are dependent on.

It's been three years now of nothing by LLMs in every NLP conference (and a large chunk of the ML venues too).

LLMs are fascinating, but is there really nothing else worth researching in NLP anymore?

Result? Zero column inches.
