If the Trump administration really wanted to put the Epstein Files somewhere absolutely no one could ever find them, they'd save them to OneDrive.

Superbly insightful take on the likely trajectory of AI.
This blog post by Helen Toner (well-known by some for a stint on the OpenAI board) is *really really* interesting because it is the first thing I've read by someone in Frontier AI that starts to get to grips with sociotechnical concerns open.substack.com/pub/helenton...

A very enjoyable post from @gilesyb.bsky.social taking issue with claims that the Govt can save £45bn through adopting AI, including looking at what history tells us about tech adoption. Recommend

Vance was right on just one thing: Europe lacks a clear positive vision of what it wants to defend.

The answer must be "the things Vance rejects": truth, science, liberal democracy, rule of law, resisting dictators, climate action.

It will have to do that without, & sometimes against, the US Govt.

Sobering discussion on Today of the tech billionaires jostling to buy influence with Trump, so they can gut the regulation of their industries.

It's plutocratic feudalism, with tech-barons fighting to control the court.

The long project to bring economic power under democratic control is in ruins.
