Only edibles I've grown successfully have been an inherited lemon tree (my old house, big juicy lemons), tomatoes, chillis & lavender. But am reading a farming autobiography & am inspired! 🌱(not my pics)

Ziti's making up for her recent rambunctiousness! And I am also in the no-ketchup club. Bbq sauce much better. Even on a burger, I prefer something like onion jam or a tangy chutney.

close up of butter sticks on a plate recipe for shortbread written in cursive on a lined pad paper. the paper is worn and has been folded 8 oz soft butter 4 oz icing (powdered) sugar 4 oz cornflour 2 cups plain flour pinch salt 1 teaspoon vanilla slivered almonds Knead it all together, except almonds, pres into greased lamington tray (approx 12" x 8"), sprinkle with extra sugar and almonds. Bake at 350 (180) for about 45 mins. slice in tray when cooked. removed when cool
