The boycott, divestment and sanctions movement criticised the plan to end the war as a “scheme primarily designed by Israel’s fascist government to save it from its unprecedented global isolation”, and called on civil society to step up its efforts.

Fortunately our council did away with the prayers some years ago -

I find the reading of such prayers in the Australian Parliament offensive. We should not be pandering to the outdated beliefs of an increasingly small section of our society.

On 12th October 1995, 30 years ago today, tram route 86 was extended to Bundoora RMIT.
Extending further to connect with trains at South Morang station would improve connections to RMIT and La Trobe Uni, and make it easier to get around the northern suburbs.

“How is it possible that a peace proposal ignores the ICJ’s July 2024 Advisory Opinion, which reiterated that Israel’s occupation is illegal and must end?

How can it fail to mention Palestinian’s right to self-determination?”

How the West will package the genocide after Netanyahu
In the not-too-distant future, the Netanyahu Government will fall. When this happens, it will become politically fashionable (and indeed necessary) for Western leaders outside the US to intellectually...

It's not semetism we're fighting. It'a zionism. A big difference. Once you realise that both peoples are semites. Then you'll realise. The Israeli's have fooled you into thinking. That they are the only true semites.

Anyway. Free Palestine and End Antisemitism. These are not remotely conflicting statements.

Remember when people thought Albanese was just being cautious in his first term? Build political capital for real reform later. Then they annihilated the LNP to gain a second term and people thought he would start spending that capital

Instead he’s highlighted how bad the major parties have become

The Albanese govt’s first term was the second most secretive on record.

Rather than changing their ways, they’re doubling down and tightening our FOI system to make it even harder to get information. Not a single expert or member of parliament outside of the Labor party has backed their new bill.

The joke is on Trump. The ethnic cleansing is simply being moved over to the West Bank.

Who in their right mind would believe the Israelis— under Benjamin Netanyahu—about *anything*?

Albanese and Marles should take note of this!

Labor’s slate for fossil fuel approvals
The Albanese government has already approved 31 fossil fuel projects, and more than that are waiting, even as renewables overtake coal as the top source of electricity.

... then close Pine Gap and the US facilities you Yanks have in foreign nations or shut the fuck up and stop whinging Yanks.

Good for goose. Good for gander.

Can't have it both ways, Yanks. You want foreign bases in other nations, but no foreign bases on your own soil. Typical Yanks.

I note Americans are upset that Qatar, a foreign nation, may get an Air Force base in the USA.

Stop whinging Yanks. We've got your (American) Pine Gap facility, US Air Force bases here and Yank troops down under and have done since 1944>.

If you don't like a foreign defence force having bases ...

Could you please also tell the Australian PM how having another countries airbases is a betrayal of ones country and of democracy!
