Hamilton’s revamped arena, TD Coliseum, officially opens this Friday with Paul McCartney, but they’re doing a preview show tonight w/ Earth Wind & Fire, and the opening act is a cover band made up of construction workers, so the first people to play the joint are dudes who built it. The weekend in the @thestar.com, I wrote about the never-ending excellence of Sloan, their valiant attempt to prank Oasis, and their mission to usurp U2:
Veteran Toronto rockers Sloan have just released one of their finest albums. So why are they trying to prank Oasis and beef with U2?
The new one's called 'Based on the Best Seller,' but the beauty of the band’s deep discography is that it's nearly impossible to tell if a particular record came out
