Spending all day at the hospital is tiring considering you're just sitting and waiting around xwx
Good news is my stepdad's doing quite well despite having and (understandably) large amount of pain. He was sitting up and talking with us, was cracking jokes here and there. Better than expected.

Stepdad's surgery went well and he was recovering in the ICU when they told us to leave for today (we got to see him for a minute, but he was not fully conscious). Very unsettling to experience a loved one in an ICU setting, but he's getting good care and hopefully things will get better tomorrow.
