i want to be able to put off the point at which things become an emergency and i have to really fuckin beg and plead and panic for as long as possible, so please consider buying my games!

i am not in an emergency situation, but the *only* money i have coming in right now is my SNAP for food and the train/bus pass benefit my state also offers, so this does risk accelerating the point at which i hit an emergency situation—the job hunt is progressing pretty well but very slowly

oh rascal made their article about dtrpg being assholes about rebel scum subscriber-only where it wasn't before... dtrpg's response to the article was dogshit but i do hate that their story is now the most and only easily accessible one 🙃

rating it a 0/10, and i was concerned about it being taken seriously, but the reply i got agreed that it was blatant homophobia and said that a ban would be on the table in the discussion they'd have with the user. the ratings were all taken down within the day.

the community also seems pretty cool? it's not entirely free of old guard "grognard" types but the staff is pretty committed to being inclusive imo—i once reported someone who was clearly a prolific contributor for going through every game with a title including "gay" "queer" "lesbian" etc and -

it gets a brief mention but i really don't feel like rpggeek gets enough credit. i won't defend it from not being super intuitive to navigate, but it is SUCH a wealth of information with a LOT of filters and categorization available and i wish the indie ttrpg community would better utilize it
