Pre 9/11, you could bring backpacks to Wolves games.

I’d fill mine with a container of leftovers for dinner and a 6 pack of beer.

Ride my bike to the game from Uptown, and later, the Northside.

Watch KG terrorize opponents. Smoke a heater with Britt on the “patio.” Bliss.
Can’t shoot threes. Can’t guard threes. OKC’s biggest weakness is getting exposed in the last month and change. They started the season hot, but everybody that pays attention to this team should have known 43% wasn’t sustainable.

I’m not sure what Aaron Wiggins does for OKC anymore. He’s a shitty defender and just another iso guy that eats clock. Impossible to run him with Shai and Dub all on the court together.

This Walz thing feels like he's rolling over. Which is dangerous, and a mistake I think. It will infuriate me to no end if he's getting pushed out by federal Dem leadership. Or even Casserole Mom Klobuchar, who clearly has her eyes on the job.

It's still funny to me that we paid Naz 125 million to do this like one out of every 3-4 games, when in reality, he needs to do this every night. Good zone breaker today, though, so props.

I kinda stopped caring about the Dubs when they traded the sweet lad Andrew Wiggins, but the descent into this foul, acrid despair has been striking. Moses and Steph deserve better.

Ever since Chet shit his proverbial shorts in the San Antonio match-ups, he's been Mutumbo-like. 16 blocks and counting in 3.5 games.

Remember when Joe Lacob said Podz was gonna be an all-star?

Ooooooof.

I love the Hawks core of OO/NAW/JJ/DD. Super fun to watch. Maybe Lowe shitting all over them lit a fire, but they've been playing great ball since then. And they'll be even better once they get off Trae. Okongwu is one of my favorite players in the league this season.

Watching the Atlanta broadcast of the Wolves game:
-Maybe the worst Jaden game of the year. Super lazy.
-O is super stagnant with Ant or Bones on the floor. A lot guys watching.
-Paint defense and rebounding was horrific.
-Ant lost his guy multiple times/didn't get back.
-"Too cool" thing is real.

The first thing I ever bought online was battle records from a very rudimentary version of TurntableLab with my financial aid money. Couldn't get battle records at any record stores back then outside of NYC/LA. They also had an NBA rumors page on their site that I checked daily.
What was the first thing you've ever bought online?

A domain name.

Finch's lone hallmark moment this year was freak out against the refs vs. OKC. He planned it. Performed it. Then did a self congratulatory podcast victory lap after admitting it was premeditated. The only game where the Wolves have beat a healthy contender (on a b2b) this season.

Dude kinda sucks.
January 1, 2026 at 7:35 PM
In Finchy's stints in Shanghai and Schaumburg, were the rosters only 8 total players or something? Because I would better understand his inability to find minutes for players, if he's never had players to experiment with before.

Entering the new year, Shai is currently combining 2013 LeBron scoring efficiency with peak MJ scoring volume and turnover efficiency, even adjusting for era.

I’ll never understand why TC gave Ingles a guaranteed deal.

All he does is grab ass on the sideline and in bound once out of every 10 games. They keep talking about his “veteran leadership” but that’s clearly not paying any dividends.

Not using his spot for a back-up big is roster malpractice.

Anthony Edwards scored 30 points versus the Hawks. Under hustle stats he recorded 3 contested shots and 1 box out. That's it.

Okongwu is so damn good. He'd slot in on any contender and be a +.

Another game of..."is THIS the one where we finally decide that Chris Finch was a journeyman minor league coach for a reason?"
December 31, 2025 at 10:34 PM
The issue is that Ant does the same thing. And frankly, so does Finch. When your best player and coach are huge babies, who is gonna tell you no? It's been my biggest complaint with this team for 3 years. They can't get out of their own way with the officials.
Naz appropriately disliked by NBA refs.
Shatters his credibility by loudly complaining obvious fouls and thus doesn't get benefit of doubt on 50-50 calls.
Seriously, coaching staff needs to speak with him about this

Anthony Edwards just threw his towel up in the air during the timeout huddle and left the floor.

Ant throws lazy entry to Rudy, it gets picked off, Ant stays put while Hawks go the other way and slam the ball home in transition.
Finch needs to play the bench, right down to Joe Ingles.

It's probably time we reserve the definition of "unethical basketball" to teams that don't give a shit about playing the sport with any effort or preparation i.e. your Minnesota Timberwolves.

Jesus H Christ this team is lame.
December 31, 2025 at 10:21 PM
The Hawks without Johnson and Kristaps put up a fight against OKC the other night. If the Wolves thought they were going to sleepwalk through this game, it's time for changes.

They'll probably come back and win, but this type of effort is laughably bad. And common place this season.
