It'd be really cool if literally any tech press folks talked to scientists working on genAI rather than just CEOs (or even just learned to read research papers).
After like 5 minutes, they'd know "superintelligence" isn't in the cards in any transformer-based system.

I have heard privately from a lot of creators that they are actually…relieved. It has always seemed to care about the engines of its culture less than other platforms, which makes sense because the thing it is best at (discovery) means it is always very easy to replace the people who burn out.
