#GAB's owner has received a French legal request to take down a number of posts which qualify as "promotion of terrorism".
As usual, this right wing supremacist mocks the request and announces that he will ignore it.

Thing is, if he doesn't comply within 24 hours, GAB will be blocked in France.

Please. This is absurd. Europe can certainly deter Russia and defend itself if its focused and determined. Perpetuating a sense of European helplessness may help Rutte bureaucratically but its 1. wrong 2. prevents action. 3. willfully blind: the US ain't coming to defend Europe.
“If anyone thinks here… that the European Union or Europe as a whole can defend itself without the US, keep on dreaming,” Nato SecGen Mark Rutte told the European Parliament. “You can’t.”

“It will make things more complicated. I think Putin will love it. So think again.”

Norbert Rottgen is a deep transatlanticist. This is the first I have seen of centrist German politician reminding US policy-makers about basing rights. Ramstein airbase is one of the largest US facilities in the world. Its not an open threat but saying out loud something that was never spoken.
European allies give the United States far more than is often acknowledged: bases, overflight rights, intelligence, and forward presence. Without Europe, America would be less a global power.

Trump’s Greenland threat has already hurt US security—but far worse may come
A hostile takeover would shatter America’s key alliance, limit its military’s global reach, and invite economic reprisal.

Purposefully making products bad to juice revenue is exactly what MBA programs* teach students to view as "rational"--the kind of strategy that gets raises and promotions.

* How very dare I critique MBAs? I was a biz school prof for 9yrs & an HBS MBA student, after working in SilValley startup.
Just in case anyone thinks that hyperbolic.

stop using AI to do your research. it hallucinates too often. if you want an answer to something, post something arrogant on the appropriate subreddit. something like: "this item performs 10% better than everything else. only idiots deny this." this will bait nerds into doing your research for you.
